Due to the pandemic, Asasi students of UiTM Dengkil from Tesl, Law and Engineering courses had to move into Puncak Alam’s campus instead. We were frustrated with the news at first, but we tried to be as positive as possible, there must be a silver lining. Well, as for me, I did not expect much from Puncak Alam’s campus and all I heard was all the horror stories from seniors.
Surprisingly, when we arrived Puncak Alam, we were shocked at the humongous size of the campus. The girls were lucky as we got the newly built buildings. Thankfully, I got the same house as my classmate which are iera and dals at Dahlia 4, level 3 and house number 7. We all were given one room each because we need to stick to the SOP which is social distancing during the pandemic. The house was spacious with huge bathrooms and a pantry. As for the rooms, it was spacious, clean, comfortable and new. I underestimated Puncak Alam too soon. The room consist of furniture that were in good condition and aesthetically pleasing design. For instance, the beds, curtains, study table, shelf and cupboard had the same color pallet. I notice these things as I love interior design so the whole concept and design of UiTM Puncak Alam’s campus was very well done, in my point of view.
The room is considered spacious for two students, therefore, staying in the room alone can sometimes feel a little scary and lonely. Therefore, I filled in my room with some personalized things such as a make-up desk and a collection of polaroid of my loved ones on the cork board. I always keep my room clean by sweeping and mopping the room once a week. It gets very tiring cleaning the room and house as it is big in size. To end, I had a great time having a spacious room to myself and experiencing Puncak Alam’s campus. Though we felt sad moving to Dengkil at first because Puncak Alam’s rooms and houses are better than Dengkil’s but in any case, we are still students of Asasi UiTM so we belong to Dengkil’s campus. Remember, it is not the place that matters but the people in our surroundings plays a big role in our happiness.
